Beware Pride
Hey folks. Here I be. I got fired for Christmas. Pride is the reason. I thought I was above the law and could come and go as I please. I thought I was king. Reality stepped in and bit me in the ars. I am focused on many other things right now and will, actually go to the shop tomorrow and turn some wrenches. It was time for me to learn a lesson. I have been mighty low and wondering what life holds in store for me next. I am not here for pity or sorries. Just let you know I am alive. For those who Believe, I could use some prayer.
I'll be back to being me. I just need to reflect and learn.

Jeez, Madd I'm really sorry to hear about your having troubles. My best wishes are with you. There's a new year on the way, here's hoping it's a new start for you. Take care.

Madd, did you ask for major advice from above, talk about a humbling experience. I guess there was something else the higher power wanted you to learn. Time to remember whats important in life, eh?
I am going through basically the same thing. Sometimes my britches are just a little too big. Prayers with ya bud! Dutch

Madd...I don't know the circumstances but hang in there. Maybe it's time for a change anyhow. One thing to not do is sit around and dwell on it. Hell, around our shop they will wish you a Merry Christmas one minute, then announce a permanent layoff in the same breath. Now is the time to take a few weeks off rest up, and make changes for the coming year. I have never talked to you in person but from the e-mails and your demeanor on here I can tell only better things will come out of this. Hang tough. And while you're at it...send them a Yule Log for Christmas.

Got laid off the week before Chickie and I got married...she got layed off the week after. We never did get a honeymoon. I feel for you Madd, don't blame yourself. These things happen for a reason, better things lie ahead. So far I have never been wrong, the man upstairs is trying to tell you something good is going to happen. Keep your eyes and ears open but don't be surprised if it takes a year, these things take time.
Now I look around more to see the writing on the wall, three times I managed to see it coming and got out before the crunch. It always seems to be fairly obvious especially in the big corporations now that I learned the hard way. Forget what ever they told you was the reason for getting rid of you, it's only an excuse and is usually pretty flimsy when scrutinized closely. Ask for a written recommendation before you go, they won't be so generous three months from now when you really need it. Their guilt will make it glowing. Hang in there man, your good at what you do...someone else deserves your talent. Make the next one pay for it.  P.S. The girls at the "home" were asking about you the other day, they asked "Where's Jumbo?" I had to tell them you were doing a job for the CIA, then the new girl asked "Why do they call him Jumbo?". I thought perhaps you could come down here and show her.  Always can use a good oil man for the girls.

Dern, I should have done this along time ago. It happened Halloween day. Thank you all for the support. I do think God needed to teach me a lesson. I am thankful that is all he chose to do.
I said it before. This bunch is so much like a family, even when Uncle Madd screws up, he is still family. Thanks again! I did load some new shots of my C-Cab with cowl. Don't look like it will get finished by 2004. oh well
