By "traded for", I assume this is a stock production block and while I could be wrong, I don't think the main webbing in a production block is up to containing 1000hp.

The "eek" emoticon would be the look on your face as you realize you just ran over the rotating assembly with the rear tires.

Good luck trying to keep it from Regurgitating all over the track with a stock block. A gen 5 or 6 with good crank etc will start pulling the block apart at about 950 or so. You can build a reliable 750 HP 468 and not have any problems with the lower end but 1000 I would spend the 2500.00 it takes to buy a Dart block.

got $9k+ in your wallet for just a street HP blower motor????

here's a truly barebones/basic 454 blower motor build example:

http://willysreplacementparts.com/454.html

you do want forged crank/rods/pistons/stud girdle/etc so it will last which are not listed....
should use better heads than listed...
boring/honing wasn't listed
improved valve train not listed

basically, throw away every part except the block,,,figure around $10k as a budget for a street level HP blower motor
