Not a tall deck, at least the one I measured wasn't.

Visually, If the edge of the top water pump tapped hole is almost at the deck it's a 9.800" if it looks like 1/2" down from deck it is a 10.200"

A one piece seal 1992 block. Be careful with head/head gasket selection. Also be sure to balance final assembly.

Hi Bob, thanks for responding!
today confirmed that it is a 9.80 and not a tall deck.
I have a dart block 10,200 in my house and put the engine intake my friend and does not reach the 2 head.

Bob, one more question, what is the problem with the head gasket?

thank you very much for the help!

Not a problem! Unless you intend on building a 850 hp engine.
BBC cast cranks are plenty stout.
A problem with headgaskets only when trying to interchange Mark IV and Mark V heads. The water passages were changed and adapter gaskets are rquired to avoid coolant leaks.
Another problem that rears it's ugly head is the balancer and flexplate/flywheel, tho they look the same to the casual glance, are weighted differently. A IV balancer used on a V or VI will vibrate and kill bearings.

Hi Bob! thank you very much for responding.
We will be using a dart pro1 heads.
With respect to the harmonic balancer we buy a new one, unless we make a Strocker 489 and in that case would be internal balance.
With 650/700 hp are happy. In our tracks and no glue gets hard accelerate from 0.

sorry if not well understood what I write.
