Big block chevy questions

Hi, I am new to this.

I have a few questions about some big block chevy parts i have, they are a bare block, a crankshaft and a set of complete heads, and they are all steel also if that helps.

the first is 396 block with number 3902406 and date code of L166 and also partial vin number on it and can not decode it any ideas? The number is 10104 I V then a few of numbers i can not make out and then 5263. Any ideas of what car this is from?

The second is a crank with the number 6223 on the front counterweight, and i can not locate the date code or the casting number for this any ideas of where the locations are?

And finally the last is the set of heads with number 3904390 with L276 date code. But there is a number GM6T on the heads and was wondering what that meant?

I know the block is from December 16th, 1966 and the Heads are from December 27th 1966, from reading other websites, I am just trying to narrow down on what vehicle these parts are from, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help. I checked that link earlier and been thru almost every page and tried the mortec.com and that page did not come up for me for some reason. the closest i can get it that its a 396/325 hp motor was hoping to narrow it down even further.

If you know or have someone in your area that flows heads or rebuilds them. They will have the #'s you are looking for most likely. You can wonder all over the big WWW an still come up with ???'s.

GM6T is a foundry ID, doesn't really mean anything special one way or another. The other casting number ENDING IN "390" has already been deciphered for you. The late '66 dates means this was a '67 production engine, which makes it the L35 325HP version listed above under the "IV" suffix.

I know you already found your answers, but I've used chevymania.com before. It has some good info too.
