Big block in a late 2nd generation camaro

I've been told that the small block motor mounts work on installing the big block in the chassis(80 camaro) as long as You use the ears from the small block mounts on the rat. the rat is an 88 with all the accessories, does this later setup also fit along with the engine ,I have power steering also is this an issue? I have a edelbrock high rise RPM manifold, will this pass under a stock hood?(holley 3310) Will the stock HEI fit next to the firewall? Any help will be appreciated . Got a good stock turbo 350,can it handle 450 + power, also got a very heavy but smallish saginaw 4 speed, they make any saginaws for a big block? These engines are so easy to make horsepower with I can't resist but I'm afraid I may have overpowered everything else. The car is only for the street so I can take it easy till I can get a t-10 or turbo 400 but it would be nice if I can somehow use what I got, maybe with some modification it'll last a while longer. Again any help, advice is greatly appreciated.

no.. and yess...
yes it'll bolt in that way.. BUT.. headers will not fit correctly..
the factory bbc mounts put the engine off to the pass side.
as long as you know that you'll have to BFH the headers of choice..ya it'll bolt in..
I'd try to get the bbc mounts and stands... if I could.. the mounts are not hard to get and the engine brackets are only an f body vender phone call away..

problems you'll have with be headers and stear shaft.. and if you run taller than stock valve cover you'll have even less room than you normally not have if you have power brakes.. and most late 2nd gens are powerbrakes..

Better go with a modified 350 turbo trans. The saginaw trans was designed for 4-6 cylinder applications. If you get the car to "hook", the trans will go away.
Neither trans will last in stock condition, unless you put an egg between your foot and the loud pedal.
HEI will fit and power steering is just a matter of the correct brackets.

Thanx, thats a lot of help. I've located the stands for a pre-73 but am having trouble finding the mounts(ears) for the block. I'm in holland so it a bit difficult finding suppliers besides summit or what was PAW. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx for the tips. Any particular B&M or TCI upgrade kit I should check into to strengthen my stock turbo 350 trans?

Thanx a lot for the help, this is exactly what I'm looking for. Although I think they'll ship internationally without a problem,I appreciate the offer of help if they wouldn't.
