big block oil pan for 64 chevelle?

I'm trying to lay out all my pieces to put a 454 in my 64 chevelle, so I can schedule it and be able to do it without 30 trips to town while I'm workin. Two full time jobs don't leave much extra time to mess around... The 454 is coming out of a 79 GMC 1 ton. I've got mounts and frame horns, headers, etc. But, what I am wondering- will the truck pan fit my chevelle? Anybody that put a bbc in a 64 or 65 chevelle/el camino that would know about the oilpan fit would be greatly appreciated. Come through Washington Wine Country and I'll take you for a ride, then pour you a glass! Thanks in advance-

A truck pan will not fit your chassis. You need a pan for 65-72 Chevelle. The sump is at the rear of the pan. The Chevelle front crossmember sets back to the center of the engine.
