BIG Horsepower RearEnd Setup

Im curious what everyone thinks.

i have a 496cid running about 750hp and 700ft/lbs (street Car)
TH400 Built solid (5000stall) and a transbrake

Heres the question, I have a 12-bolt rearend, richmond gears(3.73) and a detroit truetrac LSD. it is necessary to do C-clip eliminators and aftermarket axles?

I wouldn't use stock axles, that's for sure. Need more splines as well, IMO. C-clip eliminators have gotten some bad press in the past, w/leaks and such- better to use Ford housing ends- but in any event it's a hell of a lot better to retain the wheel than to have it come out of the housing w/half an axle connected to it.

Bottom line is w/a transbrake, high stall TC, 'street car' weight and any kind of traction will be taxing a 12 bolt to it's limits. Use all the tricks of the trade available to you to strengthen it, including welding up the tubes 360 w nickle alloy filler.

Yes you need them. Mark Williams makes the parts you need.
