Anytime you modify suspensions you have to be concerned with geometry. Even though the IRS may be a cradle mounted piece, you will have to consider your track width ( will it work with your car properly without modifying it ), correct installation of the IRS to maintain proper camber gain, pinion angle, anti -squat ect....that would be the basics at a minimum to watch and pay attention to what you are doing. The other thing I would take into consideration is availability and cost of replacement parts... if you are dead set on an IRS and don't have the budget for a performance aftermarket piece like our Fast Track IRS, then I would consider the mustang, T-bird IRS... any way you go it will be some entailed fab work and designing to get it in a chassis not originally designed for it.
