black single stage urethane

HI Guy's
I want to spray my truck with black single stage urethane so I can see all the imperfection.
My question is ,can I just spray sealer over ss or should it be removed.

Use a guide coat over the primer and block it. If it comes out straight, paint it and be done. Dont waste the time, material and $$ painting it twice. Once paint is dry, you will need to sand it to put anything on it again. 2 types of adhesion, chemical and mechanical. So, once the paint is dry, there is no way to get the chemical adhesion.

Shoot SPI black epoxy on it, makes it very easy to see the highs and lows.
Sands well, and gives great adhesion and protection.
SPI epoxy will have a sheen that looks very much like a new part that has the EDP coating on it.

If you really want to shoot black SS, SPI makes a great one also. But I would not suggest shooting any type of SS on your project, I would use the SPI epoxy.

Here is a picture of dried SPI Epoxy that I shot a couple years ago.
