bleeding MC

do you have to bleed master cylinder if you drain the system of fluid? is it really necessary

It depends, if you cannot get it to pump then it needs to be., but not as a general rule.

If you pumped the brakes with a line open or a bleeder cracked, or you think up got air in there than go ahead,

i know bleeding them sucks

I don't know about NEW stuff W/ ABS & stuff but older systems will gravity bleed..Most of the time

With the cap off crack open a bleeder{the furthest from the master} and it should just run right out.

Hydraulic oil DOES NOT compress.

Air does.

So that is why you must evacuate all the air from the system
