bleeding new brake system

'65 chevy P/U 1/2 ton
I just install a new complete brake system, front and rear tubing, switched from front drums to discs and drums on the rear.
I bench filled the MC as instructed, installed it, installed the new tubing to the the MC and proportioning valve. Now, I can not get the air out.
I was using a vacuum tool I rented to bleed the system.
After pulling a cup of fluid from the front left calliper, it was still full of air bubbles. I removed all of the lines to the other brakes and plugged them, trying to isolate the system to just the front left caliper. Still lots of bubbles..
I double checked all connections that they were tight.
Help, what am I doing wrong ?
