Blitz Black came out shiny

I shot my 50 Chevy with John Deere Blitz Black this morning. Before doing so, I spent a couple of hours reading the John Deere Blitz Black post and the wiki article about it. Anyway, I am having a pretty big concern that I did not see addressed in either article. So far, the paint is looking real shiny, not the flat semi-gloss finish I was after. Does this paint get less glossy as it dries? Does it take a LONG time to dry to a flat finish. Lastly, will running a fireplace in the garage overnight tonight aid in the drying, flattening process?

Thanks.

Once you get this figured out, please add your findings to the JDBB wiki article.

Thanks Jon, I will.

I think I have gotten to the bottom (pun intended... read on) of my problem. I got this gallon of paint from a buddy who had it for about a year sitting in his basement. Well, seems I didn't give it a good enough stirring / shaking and left most of the flattening agent in a gooey mess at the bottom of the can (about 1/2" thick of goo). Therefore, the paint that I sprayed had very little of the flattening agent mixed in. I have since gotten it all mixed up and plan on respraying the car. Any ideas on how to proceed... how long do I wait for the paint that is on the car to dry before spraying it again. What should I do to the paint on the car (sand, scotchbrite, etc) before hitting it again with the Blitz Black?

Leave it shiney,or add a clear witha flattening agent,It may be to flat since you used some of the paint already.
