Blitz Black Paint Prep
I am going to have my car shot with John Deere Blitz Black. How much paint will it take to shoot my 66 Impala? And are there any tricks to laying down the blitz black? I am going to have my friend paint the car at his paint shop. But I thought I would try and find out as much info about the steps needed to make the paint look its best.... Thanks.....

How good (or bad) do you want this car? As I remember that paint is synthetic enamel, the VERY bottom of the technology barrel and used for....well.....tractors.
Do not expect a very nice job. |

When Randy Ferguson was up in my neck of the woods a couple of weeks back, I spoke briefly with him about the John Deere paint. He said the stuff is really durable and I think he said he even used it...
I think the whole look and feel of using John Deere paint is "bucking the system" where guys pay $25,000 for a paint job. The Blitz Black looks hot (in my opinion) and from what I have heard from people, it will last quite awhile. |
