Talking BLOND MOMENTS

Let here some of you "BLOND MOMENTS"

Last year when I was washing my car in the car wash. When I was done I got in my car, started it up,and put it in reverse (or so I thought). So me thinking it was in reverse I put my arm over the seat and looked in my rear window so I could back up.Then I steped on the gas and ran into the wall in front of me. No damage done though.I just felt like a really big dumb *** .

Many years ago, I bought a new 1981 GRANADA. The first car I had with an interior hood release. Get into the thing to go get a coffee and Sunday paper.

Drive to the local convenience store and town hangout, everybody is standing out front drinking their coffee. I go in and get what I want and come out, start the car, release the handbrake...whoops...the hood pops up...sheesh...

Well one time when I had my learners I left the car in drive... hehe

Oh yeah.. when I first got my license and my car I was ripping in reverse up the driveway to put my car back in the garage (I just took it out to clean it and didn't think I had moved it over) I then thought OH SH** I could hit the garage wall.. I slammed on the breaks and stopped just inches.. (Garage is wider than the door) this would be bad since that wall is covered with rock and our house is fairly new... not to mention all the crap sitting on the shelf on the other side of the wall...

The last one was not me... first time my g/f drove to the city I was with her... before we got in the car I said you are gunna get in an accident today I can feel it (she is a bad driver) so we get in and the first thing she does is back into her mom's van.

Red face

I went for a motorcycle ride early one nice Saturday morning, got home about 1100 a.m. and parked the bike in the driveway behind my truck that has a canopy with dark tinted windows. I go in the house and burn up some time watching T.V, then fall asleep. I wake up to realize that is abot 5:00 p.m. I am late to meet my wife at a restaurant, run outside, jump in the truck and promptly back into my motorcycle. Not much damage, glad the neighbors weren't watching!

Here's another motorcycle related one;

While I was going to school I would drive my Yamaha FZ750 right up to when the snow would prevent me from driving it any more. Of course that little motorcycle battery would not start the bike in -5 Celcius weather so I learned to push start the bike down the back alley. The bikes seat had one of those bolt-on factory solo seat plastic add ons that made a nice perch for my back pack (full of books).

One day it was especially cold and she refused to catch, I continued my jump start procedure until I was almost at the end of my backlane. Tired and sweating (backpack full of books!) and wearing about 3 pairs of sweat pants I gave her one more serious all out push, huffing and puffing I jumped about 3 feet into the air...careful not to land on the solo seat and well...sweat pants being not the most supportive of apparel I landed on the tank...on my...yatzees.

To say it knocked the wind out of me would be an understatement and here I am still rolling on the bike trying to keep it up on two wheels. I managed to keep her upright but I was hurting...real bad. I layed the bike down as carefully as I could and just layed in the middle of the backlane holding my...you know what's.

I now know why horseback riders don't wear sweat pants when their riding...and I don't get on a motorcycle without jeans on anymore. After I regained my composure I tried one more time and she started right up, the bruising was not as bad as it felt but let me tell you that has got to be the worst pain next to childbirth.

The bike got a new battery and trickle charger the next day.

My bro test rode the guy that was building my VW engines CBR900, hes a very good rider and at this time only ridden a cafe ike 2 or three short times. He decides to show off so he rides up the road a bit a turn around back towards us about halfway he brings it up on the rear wheel and rides it for a bit and he drops the front and comes down pretty hard and all you see is the him laying slowly leaning over and the bike wiggling around like he was on a slalom just a bit more clumsely. About 500ft down thte road he stop by a tree and lean up. I get down there and his face is bright white and all he could do is groan. I felt his pain it was that bad.

I was working on my friends firebird and just the day before painted it so I was taking it out of the booth. Well the day before he told me his tranny was trashed and as soon as i got it out he was going to get an new one installed. So I get in the car not thinking and I put it in reverse and lean on the throttle a bit all it did was rev, so I give it some more untill about 3500rpm and I sit there dumbfounded as to why it was't movie not remembering what he told me. So again not thinking I just stomp it and the tranny grabs and the 15x10" tires catch and I do a burnout out of the paintbboth with a full shop on both sides. The paintbooth isn't straight inline with the bay door about 30" away its on a angle. Theres a big caddy brougham on the right and a huge 78 ford pickup on the left and a mustang in front of that with only about an inch on eaither side. Here I am doing about 30mph out of the booth jerking my head side to side to see if I clear both cars keeping the car at an angle so I don't ram into the huge I beam frame of the door. I get out unscathed, car too. I stop promply turn off the car get out and my friend looks at me with eyes wide and says the right rear was about 3/4" from the side of the door and he was sure I was going to kill the paint. I hand him the keys, grin, walk into the office like I had everything handlled and I meant to do it sat down and took a deep breath. He still tells that story everytime someone comments on my driving (either way)

Speaking of acting like you meant to do it...

One time when I was driving around the corner from 7-11 I had a donut in 1 hand and a slurpee between my legs... my car not having posi and being pretty gutless I decide to do a burnout... well for once my car decided to have balls and it fishtailed around the corner... All I can say is my friend who was sitting in the passenger seat after said... I know your car is gutless and you weren't expecting that... You did look like you meant to do it...

I guess I just looked so calm... must be slow reaction

Try shifting a black, T-top, all the gold trim frills, '81 Turbo Trans Am into reverse @ 60mph on the freeway some time!

When I was in High School my father had a 70 Hemi 'Cuda, He let me borrow it one night to take my girlfriend out on a date. At the local hangout we removed the fiberglass lift off hood to show off the engine. Later going 60 mph down the highway as the hood left the body I realized I never pinned the hood back down. Whew was he mad.

Picked up a girl at a bar in Lubbock and went to go to another in a 76 Silver Anniv. Vette. Both being a tad oiled, she said she was going to stand up and flash the traffic. I said Great. We were doing about 45 when she popped the latches to her side of the t-tops.

Once when I was going to get married. I went over to my future mother inlaw's house to discuss the wedding. With just the two of us alone in the house, she suddenly asks me if I would like to get it on with her before the wedding. She says you can either come upstairs or leave out the front door. So quick thinking me I go out the front door only to see my future father inlaw leaning against my car. He said that this was a test of my loyalty, I passed and welcome to the family. I never had the heart to tell him I was going to my glovebox for a rubber !!!!!! HA HA !!!!!!
