Post blowing fuses

help? i have a 78 trans am i keep blowing fuses for my headlights? sometimes they last a couple days and sometimes they last 5minutes i traced as many wires i could find and even put in a new headlight switch no luck?it has the fuse box that
take the glass fuses and i put in 31 -32 v fuse thanks

HI MIKE, HAVE A LOOK AT YOUR HEADLIGHTS,YOU COULD HAVE HALOGEN OR OTHER HIGH WATTAGE BULBS OR SEALED BEAMS UP FRONT,THEY WOULD BLOW YOUR FUSES AFTER A BIT,FIT A RELAY ON YOUR HEADLIGHT CIRCUIT

ok thanks .the headlights are older than dirt and the brass terminals are loose on them

To me it sounds more like a wire grounding out occasionay. first place i would look would be under the carpet by the dimmer switch to see if
one of the wires isulation is wore thin
as for the headlight swith i dont beleve the lights are fused untill after the switch.
the circuit kinda goes like this>> bat headlamp
switch out from switch with head lamps and park lamps to fuse box then out from there
