Blown Head Gasket - Do I replace both or just blown one

I blew a head gasket on my BBC street motor. I just need to replace the blown one right? No need to replace the good one. Am I correct?

They are only 2 years old and have less than 1000 miles on them. They are the good Felpro performance gaskets. Not sure why it blew.

Now I have chocolate milk in my crankcase and the floor of my garage

I only drove it 2-3 miles after it blew. I was lucky and got it home quick. No loss in oil pressure.

My plan is to just replace the bad one, throw her back together, then fill her up with oil, drive around for a few minutes, replace the oil & filter, then do it again, and hope all bearings and lifters are fine. It has roller lifters by the way.

Your comments please.............

Yes, you can swap the side it`s blown on and be okay. However, have the head checked for cracks and have it checked for straightness, if the deck of the head is warped it`ll blow the gasket again unless it`s milled flat. Intake gaskets can also cause issues and get coolant in the oil, you may want to make sure the intake gaskets are okay as I would hate for you to have to yank a head and you only needed intake gaskets.
