Interested in 2006 Corvette that has blower with alcohol setup and would like info on system setup and general use.
Want to use the car as a grocery getter etc. and wonder when the alchohol system is not used is it on standby until wanted or does the throttle body position dictate when used.
If anyone can direct me to a good source of info would appreciate it.
Been awhile had five vettes way back in the 60's & 70's from 327 to the 427's but need to fill the bucket list, old but still young at heart.
Thanks Sirodder
You need to talk to the person who built the car and engine. No one here has a clue as to how the car is set up. What style blower? Roots? Centrifugal? Is the alcohol injected as a power adder or is it the primary fuel source? If the car is a drag only, purpose built car, making it into a "grocery getter" is going to be a journey.

The car is a 2006 Corvette not the Zo6 engine with Pro Charger with Alcohol system ,primary fuel is pump gas with alcohol added to probably lessen detonation, am not sure where it's introduced throttle or spray, that's why I was seeking any info I could get.
It's a common ad on used in many Corvette Years used by East Coast Engine Builders.

And... Your best source of info is the guy you are buying it from. Sorry, that's what you need to do. Speculating is not answering your questions and the only person who can do that, with any accuracy, is the guy who built the car.

Could be activated by throttle position or vacuum or some other means that I do not know about. If you know that East Coast builders have used it extensively, give Scott Shafiroff a jingle and see if he will be kind enough to answer your questions. I have used an Edelbrock unit on a detonation-prone Ford 390 that I used to have, blowing a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water into the air cleaner housing. Drag Race Engines and High Performance Pump Gas Crate Engines
3rd - if the price of this is more than 8K, then get this to someone that is knowledgeable about blown/supercharged LS's in terms of rebuild and tuning. A 2006 Vette with a weak (bad) motor is an $8K or less vehicle.
Hopefully the current owner has some receipts. Regarding the meth injection (alcohol), it's easy to turn off and it's easy to make the motor not require it. These cars are beginning to become pretty cheap (at least in this area) for the discerning buyer - don't get sold on this is the only LS2 or LS7 supercharged Vette around. If you truly want to use this as a daily driver, then pull the supercharger and all related parts off and run it NA. If the supercharger is in functioning/good condition, then it has alot of value for resale.
You still have me chuckling - 'grocery getter' vette owners have summer homes in the Hamptons lol (just picking:thumbup
I hear Alcohol and the first thing I think is Grey Goose, LOL
Na I know, I was just a little unsure exactly what he had based on his opening comment. Interested in 2006 Corvette that has blower with alcohol setup
The stuff I run is 49% methanol and 51% distilled water
Some of those water/meth injection systems just use a specific windshield washer fluid, those intended to curb detonation, I use an AIS system in the Nova, tank in the rear, spray nozzles in the carb base plate.
