The bobbin tension is a little piece of flat spring steel on the side of the bobbin case. There are two screws holding the tension spring on. The rear one just holds the piece down, and is tight. The front screw is tightened or loosened to adjust bobbin tension. You can see the bobbin tension spring in the second picture on the side of the bobbin case. The adjusting screw is right below the "2" on the bobbin. If that spring is gone or damaged, it needs to be replaced. The easiest thing to do is to buy a new bobbin case, because the screws are so tiny it's almost impossible to replace just the spring.
My next question is if you are threading the bobbin correctly. The thread comes off the bobbin to the left side like a letter "P". The thread goes down through the groove in the bobbin case and under the tension spring.
BTW, the thread pulls out from the bobbin very easily, there is only slight resistance that you can feel as you pull the thread. Is the machine making good stitches?
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
