I bought a 1950 chevy truck and am traveling 600 miles to pick it up tomorrow, the previous owner was in the process of removing the cab and bed to do a frame swap. He had to cut the old bolts off so the bed and cab are just siting on the frame. what size and how many bolts would I need to bolt it back down for the trip home. thanks

I'm sure you've discovered it by now, but I believe the front two are 3/8" and the rear two are 7/16". I've got a '50 also. If I can learn how to post images I'd be happy to send you a shot or two. Good luck, I've got some unused stock parts, etc. that I'm not wanting to store.

I wouldn't try to bolt it down to trailer it home. I would use crank down straps and strap it down to the frame.

I was able to use two long 3/8 carriage bolts in the front of the cab along with many long ratchet straps. with the 600 mile trip home and a lot of it in the dark I felt better with a few bolts in place. it made it home fine
