body bushings on 68 firebird

Hi,

I posted this on another section...just dont know where this question fits so I apologize in advance.

I did a search and found little...I hope this means its not all that hard.

I have factory replacement bushings for the subframe. Is there any special way to do this? there are 3 for each side. I assume radiator support and 2 on the lower frame. Is it best to loosen one side at a time (loosening all three) and replace? Is there any other bolts that need to be removed to replace these? Any tip/tricks??

Thanks for your help folks.

I think you've got it right. I'd loose the three on one side, do each one, tighten them all up and do the other side the same way. I've never done a Firebird so I can't say what if anything else needs to be done. Good Luck..

Thanks for the info Pony.

It was rather easy and went pretty fast. Wow. After 36 years those body bushings literaly crumbled off the car when I tried to remove them. It will be interesting to see if I can notice a diference in ride quality.
