Body mount question

Can anyone give me some help with body mounts. I have a fiberglass 37 ford roadster that I am getting started on. I want to have the body mounted as close to perfect as possible before I start doing any cutting. I have ordered a roll of body to frame webbing from Yogi's as recommended by the manufacturer of the body as I thought I would get it fitted with materials that will be in there when the car is finished.

My question is this...

The car came pre-fitted and in some spots like under the door pilliars the body is sitting up on a stack of 4 3/8 washers. This doesnt seem like a good idea to me even if it will have that webbing between the washers and the frame. It seems like an awfull lot of weight will be concentrated on that small contact area of the washers. There is a fairly heavy bracket for the door pillar support on top of those washers but it just doesnt seem right to me. Any insight into proper body mounting would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

The body must be shimmed like that in order for the doors and deck lid to fit right. If you remove them you will probably find nothing fits any longer. What body is it?

Finish

No that is just the gel coat. Funny becuase I wouldnt have picked yellow in a million years but I would think about it now.

Got any more mud flaps, I'll cancel that order hahah I only did that because I dont know much about fiberglass so I thought I would error on the side of caution. I thought that there was a specific reason for that stuff. Now that I found this site I will be bugging guys like you before I spend anymore money. - Thanks
