body paint.
Hi,why not finish up the frame,to where it is a roller,roll it outside,cover it with a tarp get about 6 or 8 jackstands,put the body into the center of the garage,do the bodywork and paint ,then reassemble.there are plenty of painters here,that can help you out with painting info,,,

it can be done but transporting and putting it back on the frame involves risk of damage for a guy like you. i would want it on the frame when painted. why not paint the underside yourself, put it on the frame, then take it to the shop

Agreed.
You risk buckles and twists in the body with it off the frame; I'd paint what you need to underneath, and re-mount the body back on the frame. Much easier to work with a roller... |

I painted a guys chev coupe with it off the frame. He had the body on a rotisserie and all the rest of parts just loose. Rotisserie made it easy to do body work and prime.
