Body Panel Adhesive on Hood

1941 Chevy hoods are two piece riveted together down the middle. My original hood off my 41 had been welded into one piece. It had some dents near the nose and it had spread out pretty bad at the rear. I got another hood. I want to make it one piece but don't want to risk the warpage and want to get it done quick.

Would using panel bonding adhesive and either metalized filler or kitty hair be a better choice than welding and leading? Any other ideas?

NO, the engine heat and direct sunlight will heat up the hood way too much. Vibration will not help it last long either, much better-faster-easier to weld it.

I noticed you wanted to "get it done quick".
Seems like a strange comment from someone who is so meticulous in his work.

Do yourself a favor and continue doing what you've been doing and it will come out nice.
If you do it right the first time, it won't come back to bite you later.

One (or two) seams down the middle is not bad.
Check out what I will be dealing with later:
