body panel alignment

Hello all. This is my first question posted on the board. I really like the format and the response to the threads ive read. Ive looked and looked and cant find an awnser to my specific question. Ive taken the doors, hood and front fenders off of my '79 Chevy Camaro, a friend helped me do the body work and it looks great, the problem is trying to realign the doors and the fenders. Can anyone give me some hints? The body lines dont match at the front of the doors, if I line them up, the top of the fender doesnt match the top of the door. While under the car Ive noticed the body mounts need replacing, will the not - so - great condition of the rubber mounts throw off the body lines? Or should I just take off the front uni- body and put all new mounts on and then tackle the rest of the front clip. I can do this, I just need a little guidence. Thanks!
