Body-shop Owners: How much would you charge
Hey iv recently been painting other peoples cars and I don't really know how much I should charge. The car is in my comment. Hes wanting the body-work done smooth so his buddy can kandy it.
I could ether primer and block the whole car or bondo the spots and primer the bondo spots then scuff the whole car so the sealer / paint will stick. How much would some of you with your own shops charge? The body has a couple small dents and a few waves. Just want a rough idea of what I should charge. Thanks, Chris

Time and materials. Get an understanding on what he wants as far as the quality of work done, i.e. perfect, good, better, best? Figure out what you want per hour. Dan

ChrisMiddleron,
Shops get paid around 80.00 dollars per hour by insurance companies. So If you charge a little less than half of that like 25 per hour I think your friend will be happy and so will you. Maybe if you buy the materials you would want 30 per hour. Have Fun but stay friends Just my $.02 Scholman
