Bodywork with Fusor ???

I'm very interesting in replacing 1/4 panel with Fusor instead of welding.
If I overlapped the panels, I'll need excessive plastic filler to make it level....correct????

how about this.

place a clean scrap metal and bonded behind original metal and replacement panel bonded on scrap metal.

check out the picture and what do you think??

The problem is the seam will almost certainly be seen later, depending on the color you paint it. If you were to cover the area with Everglass or something like that it would improve your chances I would say. Below is something interesting on the subject.
