Here's a Vespa that has had a prior problem and took a hit in the same spot. Very common on these little gas savers. ![]() annual October bondocam bump Check the timestamps on the last two pictures of this weeks project between the spreader and setting down the block after the first sanding and see how soon it's over for 36 grit and ready for a second coat after tapping those couple high spots.. As soon as the filler is set up enough to not clog the paper with light grazing passes to knock the "skin" off the initial shaping is done in 10 minutes at 70 degrees..including capturing the pic. Not that it's a race but a little hustle while your filler is still setting up gets the shaping done easier and without a lot of dust since the filler is still wet... I wish they had the Internet when I was trying to learn this hobby..Heres a breakdown of whats going on with the new guys in mind,(it's got the three secrets in it) ---> http://www.a2zautoforums.com/showthread.php?t=936 Last edited by milo; 10-20-2008 at 06:19 AM. Yes , even though there is a product called Clean Sheets designed for mixing things that has three sides of the paper glued the phone book works well.
Check this link on Clean Sheets http://www.cleansheetsmfg.com/pages/1/index.htm It takes some getting used to of course and is a trick stolen from pinstripe school ,,the paper of a phone book won't absorb the "good stuff" like Clean -Sheets too. In these pictures you can see the filler is mixed under a glass pane like a sneeze shield at a salad bar with an exhaust fan venting away fumes. I'm real big on not smelling or breathing vapors at all ,,no time for headaches, With a bit of practice and timing the spreader can be cleaned without any thinner as well ..
