When I first got out of High School (1971) I worked for a guy who used to be a Studebaker Dealer. We had a place in Indiana where we could still buy parts, grills, tail lights and ring gears for flywheels mainly. These old folks would come in driving one of these things, beat to hell, and wouldn't mind spending their last dollar to keep the 'ol Stude running.
I was surprised at all the great stuff that Studebaker offered, Superchargers, Posi Rears, 2-4's, 4 speeds, guess they were really the first muscle cars. Vern

I know everyone here is tired of me bragging on studebakers...but what you said about the first muscle car is right on. They first offered supercharged V-8s in 57. A few years ago at he Pure Stock Muscle Car Drags a 63 Stude Lark R-3 won it. Of course it was supercharged but any 304 cubic inch motor that can break into the 12s straight off the show room floor and smoke the 427 Yenko Camaros is a pretty darn good motor.

the yard is in sourthern missouri near Ironton, Mo. As for the pedal cars I think he wanted $200-$250 each for them. I can ask him cause I'll be going down there in the next week or so to give him more $$$$$$$$$$$$$ on the kids Studebaker....joe

South 71 out of joplen. Wide place in the road, then west 4 or 5 mi. Really a neat place to go, not grown up,has roads,like a park. You can pull your own stuff.
