Borg Warner 4sp identification

I need some help identifying a 4sp which is in a 62 Impala I am restoring. It has the following info on it and I am trying to determine what it is and what it came out of. Any help is appreciated.

Stamped into the pad is 19L524005

Other info on the case:

8.31.78/1
MLT7802
1204065903
WG Div.
FpC4

Has 3 grooves on the clutch spline

Thanks

thats a T10 of some variety but your number is most definitely 1304 not 1204.

You can use the PDFs on autogear.net under high performance to tell you what you have. Identifying transmissions after 50yrs by the grooves is tricky. If it was ever serviced and the input was replaced, it may or may not have the correct grooves. We usually open the sidecover and count the teeth on the clustergear (countershaft gear). Good luck.

T-10 Identification

Thanks- I will pull it off and check the gears. Judging by the date on the case I think it is out of a 78 model vehicle.

I think your "903" trans is a 3.42 first gear Super T-10 model.
