Borg Warner T-10 i.d. help

Need help trying to identify this tranny, it is a t-10, cast iron case & tail housing, alum. mid plate, there is a tag on the side cover, B-W, AS3-T10W.#'s on side of case 13-04-065-902.
letters on case, W.G.DIV. then a backwards "D"-1, coarse spline input shaft w/2 rings. 7/8" counter shaft. The tail housing has WG DIV, F 2172, T10K-7 on it, and has 2 mounting bosses for tranny mounts,(never seen that before) and multiple bolt patterns for a shifter, was wondering if this was an over the counter replacement trans. or came in a car? it's a chevy bolt pattern. Can't seem to find much info on t-10's. If it was a Muncie, probably could have found out who built it, on what line, and his kid's birthdays any help would be great! Thanks Pat.

Looks like it was made June 21, 1977 on the 2nd shift. Check it though I could be wrong, I did it from the memory of your posted numbers so...I also couldn't find the kid's birthday.

Usually T10s with iron case and aluminum tail shaft were second design SUPER T10. If so, the case is a high nickel content and the gears are a mite stronger too.

Some of the 77 to 79 Z-28's had all aluminum T10s.
