Borg Warner T-50

I found a guy selling a borg warner t-50, are they a good tranny? ive never heard of them before.

how well would it hold up behind a 300hp sbc 350 in a 2200-2500 lbs car?

I looked around and found a few things.
I would personally pass on this for what engine you asked about, especially since I read in these links below that there is nearly NO support for it, and no rebuild parts available.

I found gear ratio's for it HERE .

This link shows the info in colored text for the 1977 model year.

Also came in the Monza/Vega/Skyhawk/Pheonix and others.

More applications and information.

That is a neat OD tranny from the 70's.Do not use it behind an engine larger than a regular v6.The T5 is the most logical to consider.And easier to rebuild.

thanks guys! that info is perfect, some is similar to what i found but there was some new info in there. i think im gonna pass on it, its not gonna be strong enough.
