borg warner 4spd

hey still getting used to where to post in here, I have a borg warner with numbers 13-04-066-903 on the case, it's aluminum with a 32 spine output shaft, can anyone tell me what model it is and if they were any good, I have to rebuild it before installing, also have a cast case unit, the only numbers I can find on it are.... 9079 GM 3925656 with 27 spline output shaft, there both side loaders, any ideas, thoughts on which one is better to build for my project ?

BW trans

Sounds like a Super T-10 to me, but the numbers don't match up. If it has 26 count input splines, and 32 count output splines, then it's a Super T-10, and by the numbers, probably a factory installed unit. Summit Racing lists 5 different Super T-10 transmissions, all with different gear ratios. There's even a Super T-10 "PLUS" that's a road racing trans. Good trans? I have a Super T-10, 2.64 first gear, going in my 56' Chevrolet Sedan Delivery with a .040 over 327, 340 HP short block, 461 X casting ported/polished heads (Please don't run down the camel humps, and suggest Vortecs; especially with the factory small dome pistons in the motor), old style Edelbrock 180 degree high rise, 750 Holley, and all aftermarket valve train, 11" clutch, 4.88 posi in an old 57 Olds rear end. O.K., so I'm old school! My trans will be fine, and so will yours.
