Post Borg Warner vs. Tremec

is there a difference between the two transmissions?? i know that the bellhousings can be different between the brands depending upon the motor that is being used. but is there a difference between the brands?? are two the same with multiple names?? any feedback would be appreciated. thank you.

Tremec is a aftermarket name brand and Borg and Warner makes factory stuff. Tremec's are much much stronger and more durable than factory stuff but cost almost twice the price.

I agree with what was said above, Tremec trannys are ran in 550+hp cars daily. The first one made hasn't had any major problems, besides syncros, ect.
Give Joe a call at standard transmission, he almost sold me, if it wasn't for the boat I just bought I would have bought the tremec, I don't run that much hp though, I figure a muncie will do me fine, just wish I had that extra gear!
