where i am, boring is $8.00 a hole. $20 for the tank, and another $20 for new cam bearings.
if you do the assembly yourself, you can save big $$$, but your going to need some more tools.... but then you'll be set for life, as far as engine building goes.... shop around, check ebay for prices on the innerds your talking about. |

Regardless of what our most helpful member of the site says, it was only 15$ per cylinder(.030" over) when I did it, but remember that most people finish hone the bores which is a little more. Most places will install cam bearings/freeze plugs for $30 if you buy the parts. Also, $30 for polishing crank. I know you did not ask for all this, but thats what I can remember off the top of my head and I figured that you may be wondering about some of this if you are going to tear down an engine.
Happy to Help, Ben. |
