I was just driving my car and found out that both of the headlights are not working, It is a 1970 nova. Checked for power at both headlights and there was no power. When pulling the headlight switch the fog lights come on and so does the dashlights,sidemarker light, rear taillights and tach.light. I know that it is not the headlight it self because both of them went out at the same time, is there a relay that could cause the lights to go out. Any help would be appreciated.

mike, check your fuse panel for blown headlamp fuse, also I've had the dimmer switch [hi/low beams] go bad and give same result.

Check the dimmer switch....................there are no headlight fuses. There is a bi.metalic breaker in the headlight switch that resets itself.

Check the Head lamp switch too
I'm 79 ford 's went bad & I didn't figure it out until one night they started flashing on & off .

I just wanted to thank you, it was the dimmer switch just went to autozone and bought one for 4 dollars bolted it on and now the headlights work.
