Bought a 49 F-1 rat, doing it my way!

New to the hot rod culture. I have had several fixmeuppers and just a few weeks ago purchased a 49 ford pickup that was close but still a ways from being done. Getting ready to order some wide whites and have decided to put a new engine in the truck. The engine now is a 97 grand marquis police interceptor and is fuel injected(yuck). To many wiring harness's for my blood, give me carburetter any day. I welded some channel for some extra support for the wood bed i just installed. I went with pine and i am waiting to install the wood because i don't feel like taking it all back up to due more work later. I primed and flat blacked the chasis. The truck has brand new mickey thomsons slicks on the back and indy profile mickeys on the front. One day she will be singing! have a good one!

Here is a couple of pics from the recent work. thanks
