brake booster

I put a big block chevy in my 79 trans am and the stock booster does not fit now. Someone was saying that one off of an s-10 would fit. Does anyone know if this is true before i buy one. Will it bolt up? If not any sollutions would help. Maybe manual brakes but where do you get that set-up. The s-10 would probably be the cheapest. Thanks

I`m not sure if that`s true or not, but I will say I have heard it`s possible you used the wrong mounts. The big block chevy mounts create clearence for the brake booster as they are offset to the passengers side as well as sit lower.
I don`t know what mounts you used. If you used the correct mounts and still have the issue then overlook this post.

at the clovis motorsports jamboree i saw a blown 32 roadster that had a remote mount booster in the back, from what the guy said it didnt sound to hard to move it, just some brackets and extra lines. it was definatly something that stood out about that car! just some food for thought, good luck
