brake booster push rod adjustment

Is it the push rod between the booster and the master cylinder you are trying to adjust ?

Make an adjustable push rod by cutting rod an threading rod.Use one of the long nuts like the ones you find on eye bolts. And 2 lock nuts on each end of the long nut.

Easy adjustment but critical to get it right. Crawl under the dash and turn the rod 'til it feels like it has just hit the plunger in the MC. Now turn it 1/2 turn at a time and pump the brake pedal (engine running) to get a feel for whether it is working. There is a very narrow band of adjustment where the thing works properly. A turn too far in and the brakes lock up. A turn too few and you have no pedal and virtually no brakes. Sensitive but pretty easy to get right before you get a cramp in your side from your awkward position under the dash!
