Brake booster question for a 1963 Impala

I have a 1963 Impala with drum brakes all the way around. I want to install a dual power brake booster . The car has a stock 283. What size dual booster will fit without hitting the valve covers? 7-7.5-8-9-11 I have a dual master cyl. from a 1967 Impala all ready installed so all I need is the booster. I see Power brake boosters require 16 inches of vacuum.

283 should have the vacuum needed, is there a special reason you wish to use the dual booster. The dual booster is longer how about the single model have you considered that?

I can not remember did the 63s have power brakes, if so look for the stock size made for that year as a guide.

Those folks at MP are pretty sharp and freely give advice.

My 62 had power brakes, so a 63 PB booster is available.......Now, just find a dual chamber master cylinder that will bolt to it.

Been doing some research on many sites.
Sounds like the Cardone brake boosters are JUNK (stock replacements 54-73537).

I need to look into a aftermarket type brake booster. Would a 8" Single Diaphragm Brake Booster be big enough or should I go with a 9"?
Will a 9" fit?
I have drum brakes on all 4 wheels and a dual master cyl. now.

Thanks

I found out my Dual master cyl. has a 1 1/8" bore will this work with a 8" or 9" brake booster or should I get a 1" bore dual master cyl?

Thanks

Correction
I just got a email from Cardone saying my master cylinder is a 1" bore NOT a 1 1/8' bore.
