http://www.etrailer.com/faq-cbc.aspx In the article it sounds like there might be some splicing needed, but on my Ford it was all plug-in and go if you got the right kit. The kit I purchased was made by Draw-Tite and they also had GM kits. In past years Chevy and Ford have prewired the plug under the dash for full-sized trucks. U-haul, Draw-tite and other companies sell the connector so that you can wire it on to any brake controller and just plug it in under the dash. In To make the brake controller function you need to add additional fuses and relays to the fuse box, which activates the power feeds to the 7 wire trailer connector in the back. Bruce |
