Post Brake line removal - Is there an easy way??

I have had to replace flex hoses and brake lines on several cars and have found them to be almost impossible to take apart. I used the special wrench for brake fittings and it just rounds off the corners on the fittings. A pair of vice grips is the only way I have ever been able to get them apart and that rounds off the corners as well. Does anyone have a solution for this??

Well Jim, I'm not sure there is an ideal solution. I use a little heat, a little tiny pipe wrench and try not to make them oblong in the process. After I get them apart I put a little never seize on the threads and then a little on the nut side of the flare so they come apart easily later.

Yes Jim I also have found heat is the only thing that usually works. Then bleed everything out real good when done. Usually if you get the fittings hot enough a line wrench and a second wrench (if slotted) or a vise grip on the flex hose fitting.
