Would a gas fuel line shutoff like on a show blower work for brake fluid?
Gasoline resistance doesn't necessarily equate to brake fluid resistance.

Be safe and use a valve made for the purpose: Brake Shut-Off Valves

I would use an inexpensive hydraulic ball valve...
If you use a valve that is not specifically for brake fluid, you may want to do the research to find out if the seals used are compatible with brake fluid.
