Post Brake lites

My neighbor and I are both building 46 and47 Chevy coupes. We both rewired with EZ wiring kits. His rear turn signals work, both brake lites work until he turns the turn signal on, then the turn signal works but the opposite brake lite goes out. What the heck???...Is it the turn signal switch? Could that effect the brake lite Help ....GK

Dklong: We changed the bulbs and ran separate ground wires from each taillite housing to no avail. I read the posts you mentioned and I think it must be turn signal time..Thanks for the response........GK
