brake pedal

hey all,

Ok, as i am cruisin down the road and hit the brakes, pedal goes to the floor, if i give it a double pump quick, pedal will be nice and firm, and will stay firm until i let it go, is this air in the lines, and should i be bleeding these to resolve the problem?

thanks

sounds like it yes. If you have pedal and then it goes to the floor suddenly and you can regain by pumping, then I would say master cylinder.

A spongy pedal is usually air in the system. A pedal that is low is usually either brakes badly out of adjustment or a bad master cyl.
