brake question

I bought a 34 coupe and it needed a booster on the master cylander, that is located on frame under drivers seat.
I have made a new bracket to mount bothe however i cant seem to get any peadal out of this new system. The brakes seem to bleed fine and cant get anymore air out of system. However pedal still goes to floor. I was wondering if there is enough booster piston travel to compress the master cylander to allow the pedal to not go to floor. This has become very frustrating. I have removed my bracket and tried relocating the booster closer to the peadl, to get more piston travel but not sure if its close enough, or if i even have enough piston travel. How much is the master cylander piston supposed to travel, and will this fix my delema? Any help would be appreciaited.
