brake/turn signals wire problems
54 ford f100
I have 4 wires at the rear bumper left turn,right turn, run lamp and brake light the new lights have 2 wire and 1 1157 lamp if i hook up the run light tho the low beam side and the 2 turn signal wires left and right what do i do with the brakes hooking them in with the turn signals will mess every ting up wont it HELP woody |

whatever you are using for a turn signal switch will have a brake input that wire you have is typically only for a 3rd brakelight or if it is straight from your pressure switch it goes to the signal switch

if your using any after market wire system, i agree with lefty.
the turn indicators are also your brake lites. the brake lead will go to your 3rd brake lite. most turn lite switches have 2 hot feeds; keyed on and thru the brake switch. the bright element on the 1157 is turn/stop the smaller/dimmer filament is running |
