JUST INSTALLED SSBC 12 IN DISC BRAKES ON MY 67 CHEVELLE--IT HAS A HARD PEDAL--HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING THAT SSBC TECH DEPT SAID TO TRY--INCLUDING NEW BOOSTER--IT HAS A STAND ALONE VACUUM PUMP ALSO-MARTEL BROS. WOULD NOT EVEN DISCUSS PROBLEM--SAID IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM--ODES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGESTIONS--PLEASE

Is the push rod on the booster the right length for the mastercylinder it must not push the piston when bolting up, most are adjustable, try backing off the bolts bolting the mastercyl to the booster to check

Sorry I can't help you but you might be able to help me. I too have a vacuum problem with my brakes. You mentioned you have a vacuum pump installed on you car. My question is where did you get the pump? Was it expensive? (over$200.00 or more) Thanks DaveForddriver
