I would go with jimfulco add about 10" or so of pipe to exhaust. play with length to get it where it pulls. Also ghange the air box to allow more air into the carb. Ck your bike, there are possible friction areas that could be eliminated or reduced IE wheel bearings, brake etc. Another option is to find an alcohol carb from a karting guy and switch it to alky. 3 hp briggs are only going to make a max of about 4 hp but not live long.

sorry i havent been on herer in a while.
i appreciate the advice guys, its just a cheap motor i found in a empty lot,i did what you said and got the head milled down a bit, i have to run octane boot cause with regular gas it wants to bog and knock. i took my dremel and started hackin away with the exhaust and intake ports,and i put 1 of my thousand 5-9hp briggs carbs on it that was actually the size i ported it too,and it runs like a raped ape. but when i get up into the high rpm's it sounds like its a mesquito or soemthin and you can tell is revving dangerously high. |
