British question

Hi guys

Can anyone tell me the American version of a swirl pot?

What is a swirl pot I here you ask?

Fuel collector header tank to gravity feed the injection pump.
A device in a fuel tank (or externally) that prevents bubbles getting into the fuel system allowing a constant fuel delivery.

Many thanks Paul

ok....I cant find anything, but I'v heard them called a surge tank also.

Never heard them used for fuel before tho, mostly I'v seen them used on dry sump oil systems. The surge can directs the oil coming into it onto the wall of the can and spins the air out of it, it then collects at the bottom to be sucked up by the pump and back thru the motor.

I'v looked thru my catalogs and I cant find any of these made for fuel BUT....

you would only need those for a returnless fuel injection setup. Almost all fuel injected cars in the states are running a return style fuel setup so we have no use for something like that. My recomendation is to switch to a return style fuel system, its a cheaper, more effective method.
