Just an F.Y.I., I'm running these heads on a +.030 327 small journal engine with eagle rods,2 valve relief keith black hypereuectic pistons and an early offenhauser low ram intake with a single quad top and 3310-2 Holley carb. I'm looking at the heads before I choose the camshaft, this will be primarily a street engine in a streetrod (1935-40) ford with 2400 stahl in a t.h 350 trans and 3.70:1 9 inch ford rear

Hello, I googled that part number and the Ik200 came up
http://www.jegs.com/i/Brodix/158/1021001/10002/-1 I have a set of these heads and I DO NOT remember seeing what you described as an STR over the brodix logo(might have a number or 2 wrong???). To find all the info you need just go to brodix's website and look under IK180/200. Also personally I love my set of heads, they make good power with 355 with a 268/276 60103 cam. |

My Brodix heads are an earlier version, not the IK (iron killer) like yours, I did receive the reply from Brodix, the heads I have are a 170 intake runner 67 cc chamber street replacement head that were ported and polished by brodix after the purchase, they are strictly entry level street performance, which is just what I wanted for this project! I think I'm gonna break out my nos G.M. 097 mechanical camshaft and stuff it in for some 'ol school exhaust notes! I'm waiting for my rotating assembly to return from the balancer, so I'm polishing up a set of the aftermarket early corvette valve covers for it as well

I was after TickFlow heads but Summit had a month waiting time on them.
I had just a week free to do the job so after searching and comparing I went with Brodix IK200s and was´nt disappointed.

the 170 heads were their response to the new c.a.r.b. regs, they had them registered with carb for a California # it was actually cast into the exhaust runner externally, they were a nice street entry level head with after market springs 2.02,1.60 valves and screw in studs. as well as the thick deck surface for custom milling to decrease the chamber volume. I'm just tickled to death that I scored them for $600.00
